My name is Pastor Marie Shackleford, and I am the Founder of Sisters of the Kingdom International Ministries.
God placed a vision on my heart to establish a ministry dedicated to supporting women who have experienced abuse. However, for a season, I hesitated. I questioned whether I was capable and continued to put the calling aside.
One Sunday, my pastor shared a letter from a woman who was trapped in an abusive marriage. She feared for her life and the lives of her children, and she was desperately seeking prayer and support. I was one of the individuals entrusted with that letter.
In that very moment, I knew I could no longer delay what God had placed in my heart. I stepped out in faith, answered His call, and founded Sisters of the Kingdom International Ministries.
Our ministry exists to provide hope, encouragement, prayer, and support to women who are facing abuse and life’s difficult challenges. We are committed to reminding every woman that she is seen by God, she is valued, and that healing, restoration, and freedom are possible through His love and grace.
As the Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2 (KJV):
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
